Kou Shibasaki

This year has been particularly busy for Shibasaki. The first few months she was on a nationwide singing tour, but she frequently had to intersperse her tour dates with appearances back in Tokyo to promote two films and make product endorsements. “I’ve been having some pretty full days recently. Every day seems to bring a new challenge,” she said at a recent event to promote Fujitsu’s new 3D laptops. Her ad for the laptop can be seen in stores in 3D. “It’s the first time I have ever seen footage of myself in 3D. Wow is all I can say,” Shibasaki said, wearing a sexy red dress and sporting a new hairstyle. “It’s quite amazing what 3D is doing to movies. Just simple things like a paper plane flying at you or flower petals fluttering about are wonderful.” Born in Tokyo, Shibasaki got her start in show business at the age of 14, doing TV commercials. Western audiences will know her mainly from her role as a cold-blooded sexy killer in the 2000 cult film “Battle Royale,” and her award-winning portrayal of a Japanese girl in love with a Korean boy in the 2001 drama “Go.” Quentin Tarantino had also written a part for her in “Kill Bill,“ as Yuki Yubari, the twin sister of Gogo Yubari, but she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Currently, Shibasaki is filming “Ooku,” an alternative history of medieval Japan in which an unknown disease kills most of the male population, leading to a matriarchal society in which women outnumber men 4 to 1. Women hold all the important positions and men are their consorts. The female shogun Yoshimune (Shibasaki) keeps a harem of handsome men, known as “Ooku.” The film, which co-stars boy band ARASHI’s Kazunari Ninomiya, opens in Japan on Oct 1. Last year, Kou Shibasaki placed 2nd in an Internet poll asking 500 men and women which celebrities had the most attractive eyes (Meisa Kuroki was 1st). Respondents said Shibasaki, who turns 29 on Aug 5, had an alluring smile. That smile has served the multitalented Shibasaki well as she carves out a name for herself as an actress, singer and image character for companies such as Fujitsu, Lipton and Kanebo.

“It is a fresh look at Japan’s history,” said Shibasaki. “With the number of men so small, finding the right partner becomes a serious matter, much more so than in our modern society. Actually, the story is a bleak look at what society might be like if the birthrate continues to decline.” After filming is completed, Shibasaki said she will take a short break to recharge her musical batteries. Since launching her singing career in 2002, she has scored many pop hits since, among them “Tsuki no shizuku,” “Hito Koi Meguri” and “Lover Soul,” and has embarked on domestic concert tours once a year since 2007. When she is not working, Shibasaki likes to chill out at home. She said she enjoys cooking, after honing her culinary skills last year while making the movie “Shokudo Katatsumuri,” in which she played a woman who returns to her hometown after an incident with her Indian boyfriend and opens a small restaurant. “My specialty is ‘ehomaki,’” she said, referring to a type of sushi made with seven “lucky” ingredients. It is traditionally eaten on Setsubun (Feb 3) and is said to bring good fortune. Music is never far from Shibasaki’s mind. “I am always getting ideas for song lyrics and keep a notebook handy. Nowadays, I take a laptop with me everywhere, because I have a stock of handwritten lyrics in it,” she said. Looking ahead, Shibasaki has an unusual goal: she would like to be able to understand animals better. “Wouldn’t it fun to be able to communicate with a horse while you were riding it?” she mused. Shibasaki debuted in 2000 when she portrayed the cold, deadly, and promiscuous Mitsuko Souma in the cult classic Battle Royale. Her acting career took off with this film and also raised her international profile not only in Japan, but all over East Asia. Shibasaki also won critical acclaim for her role as Tsubaki Sakurai in the 2001 film Go, which earned her several awards, including the Best Supporting Actress Award of Japanese Academy, the Hōchi Movie Award, the Kinema Junpō Award. Since her debut in 2000, Shibasaki has worked in numerous television shows, movies and commercials. Her stage name is taken from the main character of Junko Kawakami's manga Golden Delicious Apple Sherbet.

Shibasaki has two units: Koh+ (with Masaharu Fukuyama) and Galaxias. (with Deco*27 and TeddyLoid). Shibasaki made her debut in the music industry in 2002 with her first single, "Trust My Feelings", but she became recognized for her second single, "Tsuki no Shizuku", which was used for the movie Yomigaeri. Although unable to compose (mainstream) music on her own, Kō Shibasaki writes the lyrics for most of her songs. Many of her singles have become theme songs for various films, dramas, and commercials. Her single "Lover Soul" was the ending theme song for the live action drama Otomen. Japanese actresses are known for their loveliness and charm. Nikkei, the largest economic newspaper in the world, picks the Top 20 gorgeous Japanese actresses. Some of them are famous for their typical Japanese style: cute, lovely and clean. Others stand out for being sexy, cool or mature. But they are all unforgettable.

Mariko Shinoda

Being asked about Shinoda Mariko who graduated from the same group with her on July 22, Watanabe commented sadly “She’s a senpai who has been taken care of me for a long time. She was a very kind senpai who always think about every single member.  Then, being asked about her feelings after hearing about the graduation, “I was sad. But it is a positive graduation in which Mariko-sama is heading towards her dream, so I’ll support her, said Watanabe honestly. Watanabe revealed, after Shinoda’s graduation performance had ended, Shinoda called upon the kouhai “Everyone in team A! I’ll leave AKB48 to you , and after hearing that, the Team A members said “Let’s do our best together . She said strongly “We’ve united. Besides, about Yokoyama Yui who was selected to be the new captain, “I always thought that Yui-chan would be the captain, said Watanabe, then she highly praised “Yui-chan has a strong character and thinks about other members. She’s also loved by the kouhai . After that, she determined “I’ll will make this team become a new team A while supporting and assisting Yui-chan . The press conference is held in order to hold the time-limited event from July 27 to September 23 at Tokyo Dome City Attractions. The setting for the event at this attraction is to solve the mysteries to save the legendary magical girl “Mayuyu  from the prison amusement park. On February 19th, Fukuoka city announced the city retired Shinoda Mariko from the ward mayor role for the city’s virtual administrative district “Kawaii-ku” (Kawaii-ward). The city has received 4 complaints from it’s citizens over the last 2 months of 2012. The complaints claim: “Encouraging Kawaii women hinders women’s social independence and empowerment.” “This enhances gender discrimination.” Earlier this year Mayor Takashima ordered city’s Council for Gender Equality to discuss the measures for the issue. The city’s public relation office, on 15th, said that they asked Shinoda’s side to step aside from the ward mayor’s job explaining they figured that they shouldn’t let Shinoda get involved in trouble stemmed from the discussion (on gender equality) that has nothing to do with her. Currently 40,000 people registered as residents of Kawaii-ward, and the city has planned to preserve the ward. Shinoda, who was born in Fukuoka, was named the ward mayor in August last year, and had served the office without any compensation.

In October 2005, she auditioned for AKB48 but did not make the first generation. She started working at a café in AKB48's theater, then known as Akihabara 48, as a staff member. Yasushi Akimoto, general producer of AKB48, gave her a chance to join AKB48 on the condition that she learn the group's 12 songs and dances in four days. She became AKB48's first non-generation, or "1.5 generation", member with her debut on Team A on January 22, 2006. Her first single as part of the main group was on "Aitakatta". It was not long after joining that Shinoda began to exhibit her potential and improved rapidly while it had seemed that Akimoto had chosen his consistent leads in "Skirt, Hirari" as Sukahira Seven and intended to stick with them, over time he appears to have changed his mind and pushed Shinoda to the group's forefront in place of Narita Risa. Shinoda is perhaps most widely known for her love of Hamtaro, and the song "Koike" from Team A's third stage, in which she took all of the speaking parts along with a lead singing role. On July 21, 2013, she graduated from AKB48, with her graduation ceremony taking place in her hometown of Fukuoka. Yokoyama Yui who Shinoda appointed as the next team A captain, made a comment while looking back the memories with Shinoda, "I would like to make a team that Shinoda-san would think it was a right decision to appoint me. I will make the new Yokoyama team A while succeeding Shinoda team A, but please allow me to depend on you just today." Along with the team A members including Takahashi Minami, other 1st generation members like Kojima Haruna, Itano Tomomi, and Minegishi Minami, as well as team K's Oshima Yuko showed up on the stage for the encore. When they were about to perform Shinoda's graduation song "Namida no Seijanai", Takahashi could not sing the beginning part since she started shedding tears, and it also made Shinoda weep in sympathy. After the performance, Takahashi apologized to the audience, saying, "Sorry, it was all because I started crying.", and Kojima told Takahashi, "Yeah, it was kind of too early." Though the audience were sobbing at the time, the atmosphere changed because of those two, and it burst into laughter.

In 2013, Shinoda launched her clothing brand "ricori" which featured clothing that she had designed and produced. She stated that starting her own line of clothing had been a dream of hers before joining AKB48. Shinoda placed fifth overall in the 2013 AKB48 General Election. On June 8, during the broadcast of the election results, Shinoda announced that she would graduate from the group. She later announced that she planned to continue fashion design and modeling. Her graduation ceremony was held on July 21 at the Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, and her final performance at the AKB48 theater was on July 22. Shinoda Mariko is the captain of AKB48's Team A. She announced her graduation from the group on July 8, at the 5th Senbatsu Sousenkyo. She will graduate on July 21, 2013 at AKB48's Fukuoka Dome Concert. After finishing high school Shinoda Mariko auditioned for the first generation of AKB48 and failed. Not wanting to give up her dreams she started working part time in the cafe on the same floor as the AKB48 theater. At the time of AKB48's humble beginnings, a vote box for fans was placed in the lobby to write the name of the member they liked. They encountered a number of votes of an unknown girl whom they found out was Shinoda Mariko who worked part time at the cafe. Intrigued by this, Akimoto Yasushi challenged her to remember 12 songs in four days in turn she'll be able to perform on stage. Two months after the group debuted, through customer's feedback she was able to join the group before the second generation and is the only member referred to as generation 1.5. It is for this reason that she is not present in the dvd of Team A's first stage but can be seen in the PV to the single "Skirt, Hirari"; the first she participated in, unlike the rest of Team A who had all previously participated in the single "Sakura no Hanabiratachi."

Meisa Kuroki

Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki recently revealed that she manages her own assets, and so does her husband, musician Jin Akanishi, sparking speculation that the couple may be on the verge of divorce, as they have been rumoured to be facing issues in their relationship. The celebrity couple had a ‘flash marriage’ in 2012 and Meisa gave birth to a daughter that same year. However, their management Johnny and Associates has always forbidden their artistes from dating, and after Jin announced the news of his marriage to Meisa, his contract was terminated. The burden of bringing home the bacon then fell on Meisa’s shoulders, and Jin was said to be financially dependent on his wife. Due to Meisa’s busy filming schedule, she had to rely on her mother to take care of her daughter. Meanwhile, Jin was rumoured to have had an affair due to loneliness after his workload was greatly decreased. Meisa’s image is said to have been tarnished by her husband, and is rumoured to be signing the divorce papers in April before she starts shooting her new drama. She had also admitted earlier she has not been in contact with her husband for some time. It is unfortunate and still just a rumor, but it seems that Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki and her husband Jin Akanishi, recognized for being a musician under Johnny and Associates , are signing their divorce papers. As it is still a rumor floating around, the rumor began when Meisa revealed that not only herself but her husband as well, both manage their own assets. After Jin’s contract with Johnny and Associates was terminated due to the companies rules against their artists dating, Jin fell out of work while Meisa had the responsibility not only to provide to him but to their daughter that was born the same year they were married. As the rumors continue, while Meisa was busy filming, Jin was said to have had an affair due to loneliness after an overload of work that had piled on him. You may better known Jin from his role in the recent samurai Hollywood film Ronan 47 starring Keanu Reeves, his affair has left his wife’s image tarnished, the couple has been said to signing their divorce papers sometime this month.

So happy for Jin and Meisa." Kuroki performed on the soundtrack of the 2007 film Crows Zero, in which she also appeared. Overcoming their pressure for the first performance, the Block B members presented powerful performances. The fans also responded passionately by singing along Block B’s songs. Zico said, “I didn’t expect such an enthusiastic response in New York and I felt very touched. We will do our best for our performances in Washington D.C and Florida as well.” On February 25, 2014, the K-Culture Festival in Germany announced that Block B was scheduled to appear at the September 14 festival in Dusseldorf. Two days later, the concert organizer Jazzy Group US announced that Block B would be touring three U.S. cities - New York, Miami, and Washington D.C. in June. Seven Seasons created a YouTube channel in which they uploaded Block B videos. Following that was JaeHyo and P.O.'s teaser released on September 4, showing the two suiting up. That teaser also ended with the question: "Do you wanna B?" It was announced in early January that Block B would make their return with a new mini album titled Welcome to the Block. On January 13 a trailer for the album was released and soon after on January 27, a fifteen second preview of their new single "Nalina" ("Go Crazy") was revealed. A second teaser was also revealed three days later. On February 1, "Nalina" was unveiled to the public and Welcome to the Block was deemed an "all kill" on various music sites, however, two songs from the album ("LOL" and "Did You or Did You Not") were banned as inappropriate for minors by The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF) and KBS. In February 2012 Block B came under fire for a mistranslation of a video from an interview that had taken place in Thailand a month earlier. In response, the members issued letters of apology and released a video on their record company's YouTube channel. As result of this incident, leader of Block B, Zico, also shaved his head to demonstrate his remorse. Block B returned in October – eight months after their last comeback with their first full length album, Blockbuster. For this album, the group moved away from their usual hip-hop sound to incorporate many different music styles. Most of the songs on the album were written or produced by the members. The title track "Nillili Mambo" was well received and ranked number 10 on the "Billboard World Albums Chart." Lin Chi-ling

Lin Chiling, popular model and actress from Taiwan, said that in her new spy film "the Trump Card" (Wang Pai) she changed her trademark "baby doll" voice and made it normal. Lin said she later dubbed for her role in the film herself as age of the role she played is 20 years older than her. Lin, who is famous for her gentle demeanor and physical beauty, changes her image in the film. She elaborated more about this during a press conference held in Shanghai on Saturday. "The role I played in the film suffers from a lot of tortures. She is faced up with new situations. How would she continue and move forward steadily? How would she find the real voice from the bottom of her heart? Audiences could see changes that happen to the woman in the film." Lin was questioned for her ability of selecting screenplay at the press conference. The film "Switch" (Fu Chun Shan Ju Tu) she acted in 2013 received a lot of negative feedbacks. But she explained that film was like a jigsaw. Actor and actress are just in charge of their own parts. What would the whole film turn out to be, she doesnt know. Still she insisted that this time the film "the Trump Card" would be a great one. Lin's father, Lin Fan-nan, and her mother, Wu Tzu-mei, are both from Tainan, in southern Taiwan. Following their marriage, they moved to Taipei where Lin and her elder brother Lin Chi-hong were born. Lin attended Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Junior High School and at the age of 15 was discovered by model talent scout Lin Chien-huan. She later attended Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, Canada, then attended the University of Toronto until 1997, when she completed a bachelor's degree, double-majoring in Western art history and economics. After graduating from university, Lin returned to Taiwan. She intended to pursue a career in fine art and sought a position at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, but was turned away because she lacked a postgraduate degree in the field. Lin continued to model part-time before leaving the industry and working as an administrative assistant for the Fubon Cultural and Educational Foundation.

http://asian-daily.blogspot.com/

In 2000, Lin left Fubon and spent three months studying in Japan, then returned to Taiwan and modeling, with Catwalk Production House. Lin's popularity grew throughout the rest of 2004, as she began modeling in Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese advertisements, and continued when she began doing Japanese advertisements in 2005. From 2004 to 2006, Lin served as Taiwan's goodwill ambassador to the Japan Tourism Association. One of the unintended results of Lin Chi-ling phenomenon is that due to Lin's popularity among her Chinese fans, some Japanese pornographic actresses resembling Lin have become more famous and more popular among Chinese fans than their native homeland Japan, and received nicknames given by their China fans in association with Lin Chi-ling, such as in the case of Yui Hatano , who is frequently referred by Chinese fans as AV Lin Chi-ling, and Nozomi Aso, who is frequently referred by Chinese fans as AV little Lin Chin-ling. On 8 August 2005, Lin was in Dalian, China, shooting an advertisement for Procter & Gamble home products when she fell from the back of a horse she was riding and was inadvertently trampled. Workers rushed Lin to a nearby hospital where doctors discovered that she had suffered six broken ribs, a punctured left lung, and an accumulation of blood in the pleural cavity. Lin underwent four months of treatment and therapy, and announced in November 2005 that she had completely recovered.

In 2002, Lin was invited to model in a television advertisement in Hong Kong. The advertisement received attention and discussion on the internet, and interest in Lin began to grow. The following year, noted television producer Ge Hongfu offered Lin a position as hostess of a fashion program on Shanghai Oriental Television. In 2004, Lin starred in a broad series of advertisements in Taiwan that included big giant building-size posters, billboards, and television commercials. Almost overnight, Lin skyrocketed to national fame and became an instant celebrity model. Her rise to fame initiated a Taiwanese craze for supermodels, an effect commentators named "The Lin Chi-ling Phenomenon". Lin has had numerous roles in television over her time as a model, being the host of TVBS-G LA Mode News, TVBS-G Fashion Track, the Golden Melody Awards and the Top Chinese Music Chart Awards in 2005. Lin starred as one of the three female leads in the 2010 Fuji TV Japanese television drama Tsuki no Koibito. The male lead is popular actor Takuya Kimura.

Gao Yuanyuan

She appeared as a minor role in the 1997 comedy film Spicy Love Soup, directed by Zhang Yang. While in 2000, she starred in an advertisement for Qing Zui (fresh mouth) mint during CCTV's broadcast of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and is thus known to viewers as "fresh mouth girl". In 2002, she played the leading role of Zhou Zhiruo in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, a television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel of the same title. Increasingly well known in Asia, Gao has also made inroads into the international market. In 2005, she was on the red carpet at the 58th Cannes Film Festival, where her film Shanghai Dreams, directed by Wang Xiaoshuai, won the Prix de Jury prize. Jackie Chan has described her as "having the freshest look and chaste spirit that no Hong Kong actress could approach". Chan also picked Gao up as his partner in the action comedy film Rob-B-Hood. Gao was also selected in 2008 to be a torch bearer in the Nanjing leg of the torch relay for the 2008 Summer Olympics on 27 May. Netease Entertainment December 12th report, On the 11th of December, the television serial Let’s Get Married held celebration party. Leading actors Gao Yuanyuan, Huang Haibo, Zhang Kaili and others appeared on stage. On that day, Gao Yuanyuan wore a black coat and after taking her seat with several of those involved in the creation of the show, she elegantly removed her coat to reveal her figure dressed in a fashionable matching black and white outfit. She frequently used the microphone to prevent exposing her “important part”, but still was unable to conceal her bruise covered thighs.

Can you be sure it was Zhao Youting? Look at those squeeze marks, I reckon it must have been “the wheelbarrow” position. Yuanyuan was laying flat on her back, legs apart and raised up, with the guy sitting and holding Yuanyuan’s thighs up, both hands gripping exactly where the marks are on her thighs. This way, the guy’s butt thrusts back and forth, in and out, and as for why there are such obvious grab-marks, it clearly goes to show that this guy had held out for pretty long. Plus, throughout it all, he would have been facing her, looking down, being excited beside himself by Yuanyuan’s mature, beautiful, white, sexy body, thrusting desperately, clutching and squeezing [her legs]. That’s why it can be seen that there is more than just one mark. Taiwan actor Mark Chao and his girlfriend, Chinese actress Gao Yuan Yuan, registered their marriage in Beijing on Thursday, reported Chinese media. His manager said he was in Beijing for a promotional event and took the opportunity to register his marriage to Gao. Chao’s manager added that the couple will also register their marriage in Taiwan at a later date, and will hold wedding celebrations in both Taiwan as well as China. Rumours are rife that it is a 'shotgun marriage', but Gao’s publicist has denied that she is pregnant. Chao, 29, started dating Gao, who is five years his senior, after working together on Chinese director Chen Kaige’s 2012 film “Caught in the Web”.

About four years ago, I went full-time. Encouraged by my modeling agency, I started taking part in competitions. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about presenting yourself in front of a big crowd. I never intended to get this “bikini girl” image. When I went full time, I tried out a few styles, but this is the one people liked. Naturally, people wanted me for that again and again. That’s fine. It’s not like just anyone can be me. I never said I liked to be in men’s sexual fantasies, I just said I can’t control what they think. People can like me in whatever ways they want to. Even the most innocent girl in the most proper outfit can become their sex object. Hong Kong as a city can be open and welcoming. But the individual people in Hong Kong like to say one thing and do another. I believe many people don’t mind what I do, but when they realize people around them are more conservative, they change their opinions to fit in. Magazine writers may not like me, but it’s important to remember they don’t represent the whole of Hong Kong.

Russia and South Korea Play to 1-1 Draw After Keeper's Blunder

The match was lifted from its torpor by the goal after a chess-like first half of ebb and flow in which young South Korea striker Son Heung-min put two chances well over the bar. In the 10th minute, Yoon Suk-young hit a long high ball down the left wing and Koo Ja-cheol headed it into the middle where Son took off on a fast diagonal run into the right side of the box where he shot too high. The 21-year-old striker, a thorn in the Russian defense and voted man-of-the-match, had another chance in the 39th minute when he found space in the middle but his effort from the edge of the box again sailed high over the bar. Capello said his players took time to get into the match. "At the beginning, our players were so nervous, I don't think they were as smooth as they normally are. After the goal we suffered, they reacted," he said. Russia tried to stretch the Korean defense through Yury Zhirkov on the left wing and Alexander Samedov on the right. Samedov found the angle too tight in the 20th minute and shot wide but on the half-hour when he was fouled 25 meters out by Ki Sung-yueng, who was booked, keeper Jung managed to beat away centre back Sergey Ignashevich's powerful free kick. South Korea captain Koo had a shot deflected just wide of the post off the leg of his opposite number Vasili Berezutskiy for a corner in the closing minutes of the first half. The goalkeepers were called more into action in the second period, Jung having to tip a Victor Faizulin shot over the bar almost from the restart. At the other end, the experienced Akinfeyev was equal to everything the Koreans threw at him, notably a bullet of a free kick from central defender Kim Young-gwon, but he fumbled the apparently easier shot he had to take from Lee. Both sides, who at this stage look set to fight over second place, went all out for a win in the dying stages with Samedov ballooning a Russian chance high into the air after the ball had crossed the Korean box. South Korea and Russia played a tepid 1-1 tie in Group H in Cuiaba on Tuesday night. The result left the teams with a point apiece in the standings. It was a competitive but largely scrappy affair. After a dismal first half, the game came to life in the second half when the substitute Lee Keun Ho’s speculative 35-yard shot was mishandled by Russian keeper Igor Akinfeev in the 68th minute. The ball spilled out of Akinfeev’s hands, over his shoulder and into the net. Korea’s advantage and Akinfeev’s distress were short-lived; the Russian substitute Alan Dzagoev fired home from close range in the 74th minute after a goalmouth scramble. Russia next plays the group leader Belgium on Sunday in Rio De Janeiro. South Korea will also play on Sunday, taking on Algeria in Porto Alegre.

Alexander Kerzhakov scored with one of his first touches after coming on as a substitute to give Russia a 1-1 draw with South Korea in a match in Group H in Cuitabá, Brazil, on Tuesday that was marked by a huge goalkeeping error. Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev spilled Lee Keun-ho’s shot into his own net to give South Korea the lead in the 68th minute at the Arena Pantanal. But Kerzhakov bailed out his teammate, turning in a shot from close range in the 74th minute three minutes after entering the game as a substitute to rescue a point for Russia in a poor-quality match. Akinfeev stayed on the ground inside his own net, head in his hands, after making his blunder, clearly embarrassed after dropping what was a routine save from a shot from about 30 yards. He was consoled by a couple of teammates, who patted him on the back, but could soon join in the celebrations when Kerzhakov equalized. Continue reading the main story Related Coverage. The explosive six-minute spell that featured both goals was not in keeping with the rest of a mundane game characterized by slow build-up play, poor passing and wayward finishing. Continue reading the main story 2014 World Cup Having lost four of its last five games heading to Brazil, the South Koreans came into their eighth straight World Cup with concerns over their flimsy defense and a lack of goal threat. A 4-0 thrashing by Ghana in a warm-up in Miami last week highlighted those deficiencies. Defensively, they were not terrible, but there was no hiding their toothless attack going forward, with the experienced Park Chu-young starting as the lone striker but justifying fears that he has lost his edge after three ineffective years with Arsenal in England’s Premier League. He was substituted in the 56th.

Then Son, who found the net 11 times for Leverkusen last season, had a real chance in front of goal but his shot sailed exuberantly over Akinfeev's crossbar. The Koreans had the upper hand as the tepid first half drew to a close, their midfield putting together some neat moves, with Han Kook-Young and Sunderland's Ki Sung-Yeung proving a handful. If Russia were to give coach Capello something to celebrate on his 68th birthday at midnight, they'd have to up their game. And they came out fighting with two quick chances from Victor Fayzulin and skipper Vasily Berezutski. Down at the other end, Akinfeev did well to deny Koo's potent drive. In a bid to shake things up Korean coach Hong Myung-Bo, captain of the side that finished fourth at the 2002 World Cup, introduced prolific striker Lee for Park, and it proved a useful switch. On 68 minutes, Lee broke the deadlock in style, charging towards the Russian box, rounding a defender to shoot right-footed. Akinfeev looked devastated after at first seeming to halt the ball but then watching in horror as it went over his head. Russia pulled back level when Kerzhakov, after coming on for Yuri Zhirkov, pounced on the ball after a goalmouth scramble to shoot home from close range. Russia experienced despair then joy as Alexander Kerzhakov's stabbed equalizer made amends for goalkeeper Igor Akinfeyev's terrible blunder in an untidy 1-1 draw with South Korea at the World Cup. The result left the teams in joint second place in Group H after the first round of matches behind leaders Belgium, who earlier came from behind to win 2-1 against Algeria in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Kerzhakov, the sole surviving member of Russia's last World Cup team at the 2002 finals in Asia, scored in the 74th minute of Tuesday's game, three minutes after coming on, to notch his 26th international goal. The 31-year-old swiveled and struck a shot from inside the six-yard box after fellow substitute Alan Dzagoyev's effort was parried by goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryong.

Kim Woo Bin

When he was asked to act at pre-meetings for commercials, Woo-bin began studying acting to become a better model. He said, "But, in the course of doing so, I found myself feeling the same thrill and enthusiasm that I felt the first time I came to walk on the runway." Under the stage name Kim Woo-bin, he made his acting debut in 2011, starring in mystery drama White Christmas and the cable sitcom Vampire Idol which was originally scheduled for 120 episodes, low viewer ratings lead to the show’s end at only 79 episodes. In 2012, he had a supporting role in the romantic comedy A Gentleman's Dignity. Also, he appeared in the drama To the Beautiful You. Instead of desiring to become an actor, Kim wanted to pursue a modeling career since his high school years. He debuted as a runway model in 2009 at the age of 20 and has since been appearing in prêt-à-porter and Seoul Fashion Week collections until the present. His career slowly made its way up and soon enough, he started doing commercials which required basic acting skills. Obviously, he was lacking in this area. Not only he obtained a role model (Won-joo Moon) in the process of receiving acting lessons, this is the first time where he fell in love with the acting career.

http://asian-daily.blogspot.com/

2013 became his breakout year. First, he joined the ensemble cast of up-and-coming actors in the teen drama School 2013. This was followed by Kim Eun-sook's high-profile trendy drama The Heirs, in which he played the rebellious chaebol heir to a hotel and resorts chain who falls into an unrequited love. His popularity rose after The Heirs, which led to increased advertising contracts and acting offers. Later that year, Kim appeared in his first major film role in Friend 2, the blockbuster sequel to Kwak Kyung-taek's 2001 box office hit. Calling his role of a rising Busan gangster as "the ultimate in rebel roles," Kim said he loved the original film so much that when he heard a sequel was being developed, he pursued getting cast without even reading the script, gaining 9 kilograms for his role. He also became the host of cable music program M! Countdown beginning August 15, 2013.

Last September Kim Woo Bin announced publicly that he was dating fashion model Yoo Ji Ahn. So fans were surprised to learn this week that the couple had broken up four months ago but decided to keep it private until now. At the time that Kim Woo Bin went public with his relationship, his agency, Sidus HQ, said that the actor was not the type to try and hide anything. He and Yoo Ji Ahn dated openly and never tried to keep their relationship a secret. "He does not feel uncomfortable about going public with his relationship," said the Sidus HQ representative at the time. "A young man and woman meeting in such a natural way is nothing to be secretive about." But then Kim Woo Bin was not as famous a few months ago as he is now. Neither of them had ever made the headlines when they first started dating. Kim Woo Bin and Yoo Ji Ahn met in 2011 at a magazine photo shoot. He had been working as a runway model since 2006 and appeared in several fashion shows before his debut in the drama "White Christmas." He then went on to have a role in "Gentleman's Dignity" followed by a leading role in "School 2013" and also a part in the film "Friend 2." That was followed by his role as bad boy Choi Young Do in "The Heirs." It was this role that propelled him to international stardom.

The newest k-pop muses

The saturation of the music industry with big-name artists has dubbed this month 'Mayhem.' Typically, it is uncommon for relatively new girl-groups to go head-to-head with other artists who are already well-established. An associate from Hello Venus' management company stated, "There is no room to make for other artists. With a bold style of music and development of our own color, we will continue to grow as mature artists." Nine Muses will be coming back on May 9. A polar opposite of Hello Venus in their seductive, sexy concept, Nine Muses has recently been making the front pages for their R-rated teasers that revealed lingerie cuts of the members and portrayed close-up body parts such as lips and collar bones. Pledis Entertainment collaborated with Fantagio Entertainment, an acting agency, for Hello Venus' showcase in April. Yoo Ara and Yoonjo were trainees of After School, both having performed on their first album Virgin. Both girls were expected to join After School at some point. Yoo Ara, along with fellow Pledis trainee Kyungmin, were the final two candidates to become After School's ninth member, however, current After School member E-Young was chosen instead. Lime was in the pre-debut line-up of a girl group called Viva Girls under Medialine Entertainment; consisting of several members including Nine Muses member Kyungri. However, the group disbanded and each girl left the company. Lime was a backup dancer for Chaeyeon. She was also a rapper in Lee Jung's and Honey Family's (Reversal of Drama)under the name Haley. The group was originally a seven member line-up; consisting of the six girls and a Pledis Trainee Nicole. Nicole departed Pledis shortly before Hello Venus's debut.

With the top dogs like Jo Yong Pil, Psy, SHINee, 4minute, 2PM and Lee Hyori holding their spots steady, a couple of female groups are making their comebacks. Hello Venus staged their comeback performance on May 2 with their new song, "Do You Want Some Tea?" Immediately after the release of their song, the girl group themed on innocent images and girly girl looks entered various music charts and are expected to continue to fare well against steep competition. Hello Venus first became known under the name Venus. On April 17, 2012, Hello Venus was officially announced with a teaser image, along with the opening of an official website. The final group had six members, containing two members from Pledis: Yoo Ara and Yoonjo, and four members from Fantagio: Alice, Nara, Lime and Yooyoung. On May 9, 2012, Hello Venus debuted their mini-album Venus, with "Venus" serving as the promotional track. On July 4, 2012, the group released "Like a Wave", off the digital album 'Like a Wave (Digital Repackage). On December 16, they released their 2nd mini album, What Are You Doing Today.

Lee Seunghoon, the group's main dancer was also a former reality-singing contest alumni  K-pop Star Season 1 wherein he came in fourth place. YG recruited Lee himself, being one of the show's judges and had shown great admiration for him specifically for his choreography skills  during the series' run. Song Minho started out underground under the stage name "Mino" or "Hugeboy Mino" with former underground rappers-turned-idols namely Block B’s Zico, Kyung, P.O and M.I.B's SIMS. He was initially a trainee for the male group Block B but left the group before debut for personal reasons. In 2011, he made his debut as a rapper for the ballad group BoM under Y2Y Contents Company however the group was disbanded 2 years later due to the lack of popularity with the public. EXO’s Lay to MC for the First Time

In the revealed photo, Lay is seen dressed in a striped button-up shirt matched with a colorful floral tie, while holding a script in his hands. As it was his first try at taking part in a show as an MC, there are hints of nervousness and anxiety that can be seen on his face. The group was initially announced as set to debut in early 2011. The project name for the group was M1 (for EXO-K) and M2 (for EXO-M). SM Entertainment producer Lee Soo-man outlined plans for simultaneous debuts for the two groups. The debut was delayed, and it was set for early 2012. In December 2011, teasers began to surface concerning the members and a large number of video teasers were produced highlighting the talents of the individual members. Joe Chen Qiao En

Joe Chen Qiao En has been a lead on the popular TV drama "The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog," and she currently hosts two TV shows, "Treasure Hunter" and "Fated to Love You." Joe Chen Qiao En began her acting career in 2001, and began her singing career in 2004 with 7 Flowers. The group originally had 7 members, but now is down to 4, and she is one of the co-leaders of the group. She has appeared on a number of TV shows, and has participated in Idol Dramas, among other film appearances. She has written or co-written a number of songs for 7 Flowers, and the group has released 6 albums. Joe Chen Qiao En was born April 4th, 1979, in Taiwan, and she is a Taiwanese actress of Hakka origin. She has an interest in both acting and writing, and is a co-leader of the musical group 7 Flowers.  We still have a way to go until an air date is announced, although a cast member said on Weibo that he expected the drama to air in September. In the meantime, tide yourself over with an action-packed trailer and some newly released stills. The drama and the book it’s based off of, The Fate of Jinxiu by Nian Yi, both seem to be heavily focused on its heroine, but let’s not kid ourselves: in these new stills, Huang Xiaoming is the dominant force. In a way, this makes sense, since his character is described as the overbearing, authoritative, no-nonsense type.

one of the first Taiwanese onscreen couples that I ship. I need to rewatch Prince Turned to Frog. When I saw these cute photos on Chinese news sites, I thought they are having another collaboration. Wrong. Apparently, they are promoting the terribly written drama, Beauties of the Emperor, again! Why oh why are people still re-airing this poorly done work? Let the nightmare disappear from my eyes. It looks my beloved couple can only generate romantic sparks onscreen because they claim tp be happy as friends. Hey, I’m a happy camper as long as they’re happy. They have this natural, flirty chemistry that works to their advantage. Joe Chen adds, “With Ming Dao, I know him too well, so well that there’s nothing else to know.” Beauties of the Emperor was her first period drama and she was glad that Ming Dao’s presence made her feel comfortable in a new environment. Ming Dao follows up with stories about them eating out after work and how he never thought twice to call her in the middle of the night to talk. Even when she was sleep, he knew she would pick up to chat with him. Joe jokes, “People think it’s romantic but he’s a hassle, talking about nonsense.” She further reveals that when they were filming in Taiwan, he would pick her up and drop her off everyday. At first she thought he was courting her, but alas, that was not the case.

God's Gift - 14 Days

Kim Soo-hyun is a mother whose young daughter Han Saet-byul gets kidnapped and murdered. Discovering a miraculous ability to go back in time exactly two weeks before the event, Soo-hyun is determined to expose the kidnapping plot and save her daughter before she dies all over again. Helping her is Ki Dong-chan, a former cop turned private investigator out to prove the innocence of his mentally challenged brother, who is falsely accused of murdering Dong-chan's ex-girlfriend. As Soo-hyun and Dong-chan race against the clock in the allotted 14 days, new light is shed on the crimes, and they uncover secrets far more treacherous than Soo-hyun could have ever imagined.

While Saet-byul plays with the toys, Tattoo Hand sees his son in her place, remembering how he’d assembled Legos with his boy, back when his hand had been free of the revenge tattoo. He shows Saet-byul how to assemble some toys, and nods yes when she asks if he’ll send her home afterward. Cheered, she starts eating and playing. Watching this entire exchange via video is the presidential chief of staff Lee Myung-han, aka Ji-hoon’s former boss who’d steered the Moojin case in the wrong direction. He reviews the casefiles and looks at profiles for Dong-chan, Dong-ho, and Young-gyu. Should I be worried that there’s a brain scan photograph attached to Dong-chan’s file? Now we see that the president had given Chief of Staff Lee the task of investigating the Moojin photograph. Lee had been upset to hear that it originated from Te-oh and ordered mouths to be silenced.
